As a fast-growing SaaS business in the employee health sector, they are looking for a Data Analyst / Junior Data Specialist with expertise in excellent SQL, SQL Scripting / Excel skills.

Job Purpose:

• Delivering Management Information to internal and external clients

• Expediting & supporting colleagues with data analysis, extraction and manipulation

Job Responsibilities:

• Become expert regarding all aspects of company’s data including reporting, importing, exporting and interfacing

• Understanding company’s data schema and nuances of client data to facilitate the creation of robust SQL queries for both reporting and operational requirements 

• Expedite validation and load of large volume client datasets

• Assisting colleagues with SQL challenges

• Mentoring colleagues to improve SQL skills

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong inter-personal skills, able to communicate clearly and confidently to varying levels of individuals internally and externally?

• Self-starter, able to break down a project into actionable steps and use initiative to move these forwards

• Have the confidence to work on their own but also to ask for help or direction when required

• Good time management skills with the ability to deliver to a deadline?

• Diligence and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered to a high standard

Experience of the following is essential: 

• SQL – ideally advanced knowledge

• Excel – manipulating large data sets / charting

• Understanding data structures and imparting this knowledge to others

Experience of the following would be useful: 

• Knowledge of system integration including webhooks, APIs and file transfer

• Knowledge of integration with HR systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle and ESR
