Data Architect / Evangelist - contract

​A six-month contract role has opened up for a Data Architect/Evangelist with a global B2B travel company in London.

In this hybrid role, you will have the responsibilities below:

· Work with Technology and Business Stakeholders to define use cases and Business Outcomes.

· Identify data sources for those use cases.

· Define the ingestion architecture for those sources.

· Support the Data Engineers in prototyping the ingestion of sources.

· Support the BI Developers in configuring & prototyping the initial dashboards.

· Produce documentation for sources and use Cases on the internal comms platform, populating Data Catalog

· Produce targeted code snippets, sample dashboards and HOWTO’s to encourage Citizen Development.

· Run comms and lunch and learn sessions for non-technical audiences.

· Supports Enterprise Architecture Leadership in defining the next generation platform, taking responsibility for the lifecycle tracking and planning within BI and Analytics domain as assigned. 

Experience and education: 

· Able to demonstrate examples of communications Thought Leadership and Evangelism in the BI and Data Analytics domain, mainly to non-technical End Users.

· 5+ years of relevant data and analytics technology experience required

· 3+ years experience in solution, security, information, and infrastructure architecture.

· 3+ years experience of SQL – preferably Oracle and Hadoop flavours.

· 3+ years experience with a Dashboarding tool – preferably Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI or ThoughtSpot

· Experience with Agile development methodologies preferred.

· Successful completion of a course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.  

· Experience designing and building frameworks for data governance and security policies. 

· Experience in stakeholder management, SME network building and influencing across business and technology functions
