We have an exciting opportunity for a Front-end Software Developer to join a market leader among global exchange operators in their ability to drive the global marketplace forward through product innovation and trading solutions. They are looking for a Web Software Engineer with expertise in React, React Hooks and ES6 to join their growing team in London.

They are looking for a Frontend developer experienced in using Agile Software Development techniques to build high-performance, scalable, testable data-driven web apps in React using ES6 and React Hooks, ideally utilising a python MVC based backend.

Previous backend experience is desirable (but not required); however, a desire to become proficient across our entire web stack over time is essential.

With prior senior-level experience, you will translate requirements for new features into solutions within an existing large code-base. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and end-users to gather and iterate on requirements.

Will be passionate about software quality and test drive development and will have experience incrementally improving the design and quality of code and playing a role in supporting the operation of a software platform.

Requirements

  • Front-end web development experience.

  • Must have experience with React, React Hooks and ES6.

  • Previous backend experience is desirable (but not required).

  • Full ownership of software projects from conception through to launch and ongoing support of features in production.

  • Demonstrated experience in lifting the quality of an existing large code-base by applying automated unit tests used as part of a Continuous Integration suite.

  • Experience with full-stack web testing is a plus.

  • Comfortable at the command line in a Linux environment.

  • Desire to get involved with the entire web stack (in particular Django and PostgreSQL).
