A successful luxury travel company are looking for a Senior Network Engineer / Network Manager to join their friendly and energetic team based in Uxbridge, London, with expertise in LAN, WIFI, Firewalls, Load-Balancers, Satellite Solutions, SAT Comms etc.
Job Purpose:
In a very dynamic and growing IT department, The IT Network Manager is responsible for designing network solutions, executing and guaranteeing smooth and efficient operations across the company’s network and communication services, to ensure adequate security level and to govern projects.
This position also serves as an integrated member of the IT team involved with new service delivery for new Builds and the 24/7 Technical support.
Key Responsibilities
• Management of the Digital Communication Network (SDCN)
• Designs, build and sustains complex Network (LAN, WIFI, Firewalls, Load-Balancers, SDWAN, Satellite solutions)
• Design and maintain wireless network equipment, network management and security, including 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards and industry best practices for implementing high-density WIFI solutions.
• Project leadership of newbuilds and refitting projects.
• Write manuals and document network procedures.
• Implement policies and classify and oversee access to protect network systems.
• Third line support to IT Onboard support functions
• Interacts with business units and vendors
• Manages Budget of related areas.
Job-Requirements: skills, competencies, experience
• Fluent in English, oral and written. Any other language is an advantage
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years experience in Networking and Wi-Fi.
• Aruba Certified Mobility, Switching Professional (ACMP, ACSP) or equivalent Aruba/Cisco certifications.
• Proven experience with HPE Aruba switches, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, F5 Load-Balancers.
• Experience with SAT COMMS and SDWAN technology is considered a plus.
• Experience in supplier’s governance and services setup & management
• Right to work in the UK/Italy/France and to travel within the EU.
