Business Development Manager

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth by generating new corporate business against defined targets. The role focuses on identifying and securing high-value corporate accounts, managing the sales pipeline through CRM, and ensuring a seamless handover of new clients.

This position requires strong sales expertise, strategic networking skills, and a proactive approach to lead generation and client engagement. Previous experience within a Travel Management Company (TMC) environment is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition

  • Generate and qualify leads for targeted corporate accounts.

  • Design and implement campaigns to secure new business.

  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations and online booking tool (OBT) demonstrations, both in-person and virtually.

  • Prepare and submit bid responses for RFPs and tenders.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage the sales pipeline effectively.

  • Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness.

Implementation

  • Manage credit application processes, review reports, and conduct risk assessments for new clients.

  • Lead scope-out calls and complete travel account mapping documentation.

  • Gather, collate, and upload supplier rates prior to client “go-live” dates.

  • Partner with the Implementation Manager to ensure smooth client onboarding.

  • Collect and process management information and travel profile data.

Training & Development

  • Deliver online training to clients on the OBT solution.

  • Provide training on new supplier systems across the group.

  • Attend workshops and industry training to stay updated on market trends and best practices.

  • Skilled in bid writing, CRM use, and sales pipeline management.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple levels with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational and data management skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management is essential.

  • Background in the travel industry or corporate sales is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.

  • Awareness of industry trends, travel management services, and corporate travel policies is an advantage.
