Our client is a global B2B travel company and looking for a Data & Analytics Manager to support effective revenue collection and identify optimization opportunities. The Manager Data & Analytics will be responsible for delivering reporting and providing data insights to guide decisions, and will audit processes through data analysis, monitor collection performance, identify gaps and provide actionable data for improvements. You will also lead data reconciliation to ensure contractual payments terms are met and support ad-hoc data projects for revenue collection.
Experience & Education:
5+ years experience in Data Reporting & Analytics
Preferred experience within the corporate travel, OTA, hospitality, GDS sector an asset
Experience in delivering against personal targets and KPI’s
Ability to proactively drive the assigned projects and reach the present objectives
Experience operating in a fast pace, rapid change environment where matrix reporting and reliance on others is the norm to get things done
Ability to interact with most levels of the organization
Ability to travel as required (5% time)
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Business School graduate is preferred or equivalent in work experience
Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access knowledge and expertise are mandatory.
Must be able to use custom macros and VBA to create interactive dashboards from an Excel platform and used advanced features including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas
Strong Impala SQL knowledge and expertise is mandatory including experience with big data, manipulating data and transforming the raw data into finished products.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the travel industry and related tools including GDS and/or other technology platforms is preferred
Basic Shiny RStudio knowledge is a plus
Understanding of Data Science techniques and technologies
Ability to translate complex information into simplified action-based messages that will assist in driving business decisions
