We have an opportunity for a Commercial Data Analyst to join a B2B travel company in London.
The role's primary purpose is to support the European Supplier Relations team with data-driven analysis, reporting, and forecasting while helping develop a world-class supplier revenue business framework.
Work as part of the Global Analytics team with a dotted line into the Head of Global Analytics.
Main duties:
This is a critical position to drive and optimize supplier revenues across Europe. The position will be responsible for tracking and analyzing airline, accommodation, transport, and other suppliers and will provide supplier performance reporting, ad-hoc analysis, forecasting, and guidance to supplier owners and other business colleagues.
Additionally, this position will be Part of the global analytics team working to produce global reporting and data. It will work with other teams, manage projects, and drive the resolution of data integrity issues here in the UK and across the global supplier network. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
This individual must also have superior communication and analytic skills. Responsibilities include:
• Track and analyse air, accommodation, and transport sales performance across European businesses and assist with other regions as required.
•Work with the MIS team, using Power BI as the primary data reporting tool, to provide analytical support for contract negotiations, business reviews, budgeting, and forecasts.
• Conduct required research and collect needed data to complete financial modelling to support new contracts and understand impacts on the business.
• Identify, size and prioritize opportunities according to revenue potential, making recommendations relating to key projects
• Collaborate with European and global leadership on various projects, including periodic performance reviews covering financial and non-financial metrics.
• Work independently with little to no supervision; proactively taking full ownership of key analytics & projects
• Prepare effective PowerPoint presentations for meetings with supplier partners and internal stakeholders
• Work with other disciplines (product management, operations, account management and various business owners) to implement automated analytic and performance technology solutions
•Develop a deep understanding of the industry, the market, supply economics, and the value proposition for travellers and suppliers.
The ideal background:
• Experience in a similar role within the travel industry, agency, air or hotel.
• 3+ years in an analytical role with experience in modelling, analysis, research and presentation creation. • Knowledge of Power BI
• Expert-level knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other analytic tools.
• Solid interpersonal skills with experience operating in cross-functional teams and communicating with senior managers and executives.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to completion.
• Experience creating frameworks to assess new business opportunities. • Proven track record independently defining and executing critical analyses and developing specific solutions to increase business performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the airline, travel, or e-commerce industry preferred
