Head of Digital - Hospitality-tech

Location Europe
Job type: SEED - Permanent
Salary: £DOE

A Hospitality Tech provider is seeking a "Head of Digital" to join them, focusing on helping hotels provide an exceptional digital experience to their guests while achieving their business goals.

You will deeply understand the needs and challenges of the premium/luxury independent hotel segment and commit to delivering effective and innovative digital solutions. There will be significant scope to develop the external customer offer and enhance the internal operations by creating and using digital tools.

This developmental role reports to the CEO, forming part of the senior leadership team alongside other function heads. It is full-time and can be based remotely in Europe, with frequent travel to their markets and UK office. There are no direct reports at this stage, but multiple resources are available across the business, which may, over time, become part of an immediate team.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development: Lead product development, through in-house and 3rd party teams, to create digital tools and solutions that enhance the guest experience.

Customisation: Work closely with each hotel client to understand their specific needs and tailor our solutions to their requirements.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to hotel staff and Professional Services to ensure they can effectively use and maintain the digital tools on offer.

User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design: Ensure that the user interfaces of our digital solutions are fast, intuitive, and user-friendly.

Integration: Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to seamlessly integrate our products into the hotel's existing technology stack.

Data Analytics: Implement data analytics and reporting tools to help hotel clients gather insights about guest behaviour, preferences, and booking trends.

Security and Compliance: Ensure that our digital solutions meet industry standards for data security (PCI DSS) and comply with data privacy regulations (GDPR) to protect the sensitive information of both guests and the hotel.

Mobile Optimisation: Ensure a seamless mobile experience for guests across all browsers and devices. Features like “one-click purchase” can significantly enhance the guest experience.

The successful candidate does not have to specifically come from a hospitality background, but it would be advantageous. They will be accustomed to working with product developers, webmasters, and multiple stakeholders, and able to demonstrate experience, ownership and accountability for digital developments that have gown revenue and brand equity within e-commerce, ideally within a luxury environment.
