Our client is a leader in providing travel technology solutions to travel agencies and tour operators and looking for a .Net Software Developer with expertise in VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.

Place of Work: Hybrid – 2 days in the office in Surrey

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, initially with support, new features to the system according to their detailed specifications

• Maintain high-quality standards in coding and testing

• Assist in issue diagnosis and bug resolution

• Merge conflict resolution, code reviews

• Support Graduate Developers and Junior Developers as required

Key Skills, Experience & Capabilities

Essential:

• Educated to a degree level, 2:1 or above, in Computing, Science, Mathematics or Engineering at a quality University.

• Proven experience working with some or all of C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET (All new development is in the latest tech, but the old systems are developed in VB.NET so experience of this is necessary)

• SQLServer

• HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrable interest in software development

Desirable:

• Previous travel technology experience

• Working with Atlassian products like (Jira, Bamboo, Stash)

• WebAPI, REST, JSON

• Entity Framework or a similar ORM

• React, Redux, AngularJS

• NUnit, Moq or a similar unit testing framework

• Experience with Git or similar source control system
