A leading travel-tech solution provider is looking for an ambitious, client-facing Software Implementation Consultant to support their growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 2+ years’ experience working in a leisure travel agency with an interest in technology (support, training, implementing software).

Main Job Purpose

  • To train customers on the use of the software product in different Tour Operating businesses.

  • To propose, analyse and document the ways the software functionality can help Tour Operating customers.  

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will be a graduate with 3-5 years’ experience working in a Tour Operator and/or working for a consulting or software company.

  • The candidate should understand how technology supports business processes for a Tour Operator.

  • The candidate must be passionate about technology and excited about the travel industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct user workshops with clients to understand the business requirements and translate these into recommended configurations.

  • Analyse and document client business processes and workflows.

  • Co-ordinate and provide training on the use of the software

  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, clients, development teams and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Assist in the design and execution of test scenarios and test scripts for our software

  • Assist in the production and maintenance of user manuals and client-specific documentation. 

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Experience of working in a Tour Operating business

  • Experience/interest in working with technology

  • Results orientated with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio effectively

  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at different levels of an organisation

  • Ability to work both in a team and independently

  • Willingness to travel to client sites

  • Educated to degree level
