A global B2B market leader in providing hotel reservation platforms to millions of travellers are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join their UK team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Gathers business requirements, business process flows in designing and preparing new systems/solutions

  • Documents and analyses functional requirements, identify gaps and alternative approaches to meet needs and ensures all deliverables completed

  • Defines modifications to existing systems to meet internal and external user requirements. Provides business knowledge to aid other team members

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance using documented procedures and available tools

  • Ensures proper documentation and business justification of all requests

  • Produces and maintain relevant, accurate and up-to-date technical documentation

  • Defines priorities and business impacts of issues and opportunities

  • Effectively communicates the release plans for backlog items and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities/bug resolutions

  • Works closely with non-technical business stakeholders to produce customer-focused product materials

  • Tests feature developments in test and production environments and are responsible for the quality of the deliveries

  • Works closely with various internal and external cross-functional technical teams

  • Develops clear vision for end product/system

  • Retrieves uses and understands data from various systems to help guide new developments, client support or issue resolutions

Experience & Education:

  • Completing an entire 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years functional/business/system analysis or other relevant experience required. Experience working within a global environment preferred.

  • Outstanding analytical problem solving, analytical decision-making skills

  • Ability to see the big picture of relationships of different technology and systems

  • Ability to use multiple elicitation techniques listens to the business stakeholder and end-users

  • Demonstrates creative and innovative thinking by bringing new ideas and improvements forward

  • Understanding of API methodologies/ design and architecture

  • Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and Lean methodologies preferred

  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and some flexibility when working in a global environment across all time zones

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, requiring little direct supervision

  • Able to create SQL with minimal direction for data retrieval from a relational database

  • Proven ability to interface and communicate between the business and IT - understanding the business requirements and how to translate them into technical specifications
