A major global B2B Travel company specialising in the hotel to travellers worldwide, offering secure, cost-effective, policy compliant, multi-channel and bookable hotel reservation solutions are looking for a Project Manager with experience in managing multiple software development projects.

Main responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Analysts/Managers on technical deliverables across a wide range of hotel booking products.

  • Accountable for all aspects of project management: planning, execution, control, communication, financial management and closure.

  • Establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results.

  • Manage communication across key stakeholders, running a defined schedule of meetings. Provides regular updates to stakeholders or steering committees.

  • Display a can-do attitude, persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.

  • Identify areas of improvement and ensure they are shared with the right stakeholders.

  • Lead process transformation, often with the use of Digital tools, e.g., Jira

  • Effectively communicate in various settings (mainly over digital media): one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.

  • Collaborate with other technical teams (i.e. architecture and security) to ensure requirements are met.

  • Utilises escalation channels wisely avoiding over and under-escalation. Uses good judgment on when to escalate the issues to Management and when to work through issues with the project team.

  • Develop a schedule of work which will ensure the agreed scope is delivered against required timescales ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately.

  • Identify dependencies & risks and ensure resolution.

  • Manage the Opex and Capex budget, ensuring the project does not exceed the approved budget.

  • Comply with any governance requirements and artefacts e.g. Project Charter, Risk and Issue logs etc.

Experience & Education

  • Successful Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred, OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience in managing significant technical projects.

  • Exposure and experience with the following:

    • Technology related project experience i.e., understanding of IT/infrastructure, software development lifecycle, software integrations

    • Change Management in complex environments

    • Risk and Issue management

  • Project Management certification (PMP or Prince 2 is a plus)

  • Experience in working with global stakeholders and in multination organization(s) (preferred).

  • Experience with international implementations, the travel/hospitality industry.

  • Understanding of travel technology (GDS, OBTs and hotel aggregators) is an advantage

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Experience with global teams leading IT projects across cross functional areas including technology upgrades, maintenance, and development implementations.

  • Scrum master experience

  • Experience with Agile and traditional Project management tools: Jira, Smartsheet MS Project, Trello, Microsoft Planner etc.
